About Us
Tropical Acres Farms was started on five acres of land in Loxahatchee, FL in 2011 as a tropical fruit farm and nursery. Since then we have expanded to partner with Sturrock Groves in West Palm Beach to increase our production acreage and begin offering a greater variety of fruit to the public, from an orchard where mangos have been grown since the 1920s. The farm has made an historical contribution to the mango industry with the research and mango breeding conducted by the Sturrock family, which resulted in the patented Duncan and Young mangos, along with several other named creations and written publications.
We proudly specialize in mangos, of which we now have growing over 150 distinct varieties. We are most known for the Edward variety, long considered one of the finest Florida mangos. We also grow and harvest lychee, bananas, sapodilla, avocado, guava, black sapote, and various other fruits.
During the mango season we are open from our location in West Palm Beach Mondays through Saturdays. Fruit can also be shipped to customers out of the area. Mango season typically runs from May through September for us but sometimes starts as early as April.
We are open by appointment during non-scheduled hours and outside of the mango season. Contact us for availability.
