About Us
Canoe Creek Produce is operated by Barbara Kraus, assisted by her family: John, Peter, Tessa, and Kevin. The farm lies 7 miles northeast of Decorah in Pleasant Township, in a valley carved out by Canoe Creek. Canoe Creek Produce began with eggs, as many things do, about 15 years ago and has grown to include a variety of vegetables, fruits, and meats. Today, Barbara manages a flock of 300 chickens, a herd of Katahdin sheep, and several acres of gardens and orchards. We enjoy working together as a family to raise specialty crops using sustainable practices for local markets.
Our produce is available at the Winneshiek Farmers Market, the Oneota Food Co-op, and several restaurants in the Decorah area. Please contact us if you would like to make an order or visit the farm!
