Northeast Texas Community College

Northeast Texas Community College is located in a beautiful rural setting near the Chapel Hill community established in 1985. The campus is situated on 375 acres centrally located among the county seats of Daingerfield, Pittsburg, and Mount Pleasant. Northeast Texas Community College is a 2 year college located in rural east Texas. The Eagle Ranch is a division of the Agriculture Department and consists of 300 acres. Students and faculty operate the greenhouse, vineyard, cow/calf, meat goat, pastured layers, and hay and row crop gardens to provide hands on experience for the students and naturally raised fresh products for those purchasing the products at the NTCC's Farmer's Market. The 2014 season ending market will be held on Friday, November 7th a this is the special Holiday Market and all gifts and craft vendors will be welcome as well. The Ag Program offers degrees in both conventional and sustainable agriculture as well as a transfer degree for students planning to obtain a bacheloras degree in an agriculturally-related field at a 4-year college or university. The Goals of the Agriculture Program are: Goal 1: Provide elite agriculture educational experiences for an expanding and more diverse customer base. Goal 2: Fully integrate to one sustainable farming operation and program. Beginning in May of 2015 - NTCC will begin their on-line buyers group for the area in which they will market their products and those of other area member's products directly to consumers.
